Dodgeball for the troops!
December 9, 2007 marks the second annual "Duck The Balls" holiday charity dodgeball tournament. This year AZ Dodgeball's tournament will be a benefit event for the Arizona National Guard Emergency Relief Fund (AERFund)
What is the AERFund?

The AERFund is an emergency financial assistance organization dedicated to helping the Arizona National Guard “take care of its own.” The AERFund is a private, non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Arizona and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax exempt under the provisions of 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3). The sole mission of the AERFund is to help soldiers, airmen, and their dependents in times of need by providing emergency financial assistance in the form of grants and interest-free loans.
Who does the AERFund help?
- Army and Air National Guard members and their dependents
- Surviving spouses and children of Arizona National Guard members who died while on National Guard duty
AERFund can help with such emergencies as:
- Rent and mortgage payments
- Food and utilities
- Essential transportation and vehicle repair
- Emergency travel
- Funeral expenses
- Medical expenses
This will be an open registration event. Any team with a minimum of five (5) adults can enter. There are no gender requirements for the team. There will be a group format followed by an elimination tournament. Final grouping will be determined by number of teams entered.
Cost is $150 per team.
The tournament will be held at the Arizona Army National Guard Gym at 52nd St. & McDowell. Map
